This 2 day course took delegates through the best practices of lasers in Dentistry, including best practice in most dental fields including: perio, ortho, restorative and oral surgery (among others). The course was led by the Author of the World’s most successful Laser Dentistry textbook: “Principles and Practice of Laser Dentistry”.
Day 1 consisted of various lectures with Day 2 being lectures up until lunch, then Hands on with apples, pig jaws and chicken wings for simulation. The course demonstrated how to carefully remove tissue with lasers.
Oral cancer screening (Goccles) wa covered along with the associated laser techniques. Time was also be given to practical laser techniques such as biopsy, troughing, soft tissue crown lengthening perio and periimplantitis and Photo Biomodulation (PBM) using multiple laser wavelengths during the hands on.
